malaysiakini and the Home Minister's EXCUSE

According to this article in malaysiakini the Home Minister claims I knew nothing until this morning. He was referring to the incident in PJ where the police charged a group of peaceful Malaysians who were holding a candle-lit vigil against the ISA.
As usual, he wants people to give him evidence if they want to complain. As the Minister in charge of the police, surely he has the authority to speak to the officers who were present to find out what actually happened?
I must say he is doing a good job - that of making thousands of citizens very unhappy with the police and the government. Maybe he is really too busy with the UMNO elections?
